  Over the past 12 years, Boomgaarden Architects has been involved in many areas of architectural design, with a particular emphasis in renovations of existing housing, historic architecture, custom residential, site analysis, space-planning and interior design. Boomgaarden Architects is led by its Principal, Chad Boomgaarden. Most of the firm's work has been in the Cities and Villages along the North Shore.   Chad Boomgaarden holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas, is a licensed Architect in the State of Illinois and 46 others, NCARB certified, a City of Chicago Registered Energy Professional, a licensed Interior Designer in the State of Illinois, and a Member of the American Institute of Architects.
